ఫిలిప్పీన్స్‌లోని సెబూ, మనీలా లాంటి పట్టణాల్లోని ఎక్కువ ఇళ్లల్లో పట్టపగలు కూడా వెలుతురు రానేరాదు. 24 గంటలూ లైటు వెలుగుతూ ఉండాల్సిందే. రోజంతా కరెంటుతో లైటు వెలిగితే బిల్లు కట్టుకోవడమూ వాళ్లకు కష్టమే. దీనికి పరిష్కారంగా 'మై షెల్టర్‌ ఫౌండేషన్‌' అనే సంస్థ సీసా బల్బులను వెలిగిస్తోంది. బ్రెజిల్‌లోని ఆల్‌ఫ్రెడో మోసెరో అనే మెకానిక్‌కు వచ్చిన సరికొత్త ఆలోచనే ఈ సీసా బల్బు. అమెరికాలోని మసాచుసెట్స్‌ ఇన్‌స్టిట్యూట్‌ ఆఫ్‌ టెక్నాలజీ విద్యార్థులు ఆ ఆలోచనను అభివృద్ధి చేసి సీసా బల్బును అందరికీ అందుబాటులోకి తీసుకువచ్చారు. దీన్ని ఎలా తయారుచేస్తారంటే... లీటరు నుంచి రెండు లీటర్ల సామర్థ్యమున్న రంగులేని ప్లాస్టిక్‌ సీసాను తీసుకోవాలి. దాన్ని పూర్తిగా నీటితో నింపాలి. నీటిలో కొద్దిగా క్లోరిన్‌ లేదా బ్లీచింగ్‌ పౌడర్‌ కలపాలి. ఇలా చేయడం వల్ల దాదాపు అయిదేళ్లపాటు నీళ్లు మార్చనవసరంలేదు. ఇంటి పైకప్పు మీద సీసా దిగేంత రంధ్రం చేసి అందులో సీసా అమర్చి చుట్టూ సీల్‌ చేసేయాలి. సీసా సగానికి పైగా ఇంటి లోపలి భాగంలో ఉండాలి. ఇలా చేయడం వల్ల పగటి సమయంలో 55 నుంచి 60 వాట్ల బల్బుతో సమానమైన వెలుగు ఇంట్లోకి ప్రసరిస్తుందట. ఐడియా బాగుంది కదా.
